Anointing of the Sick

"The Catholic Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick, formerly known as Last Rites or Extreme Unction, is a ritual of healing appropriate not only for physical but also for mental and spiritual sickness."

By the sacred anointing of the sick and the power of the priests, the whole church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up an save them. And indeed she exhorts them to contribute to the goo of the people of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ.
