Mission Statement

We, the people of St. Francis de Sales Parish of Lenni, having celebrated our Centennial Year, move forward committed to building our parish community into a "City of God."

We choose to do this in response to our baptism through which we became members of Christ and are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission.

As brothers and sisters in Christ, we call ourselves to be disciples of Christ who will create a Christian Community that, with Him, will respond to God's words found in the Book of the Prophet Micah 6:6-8.

"This is what Yahweh, your God, asks of you:

act justly		We will use our talents and gifts for the common good and for building up God's way among us and around us by teaching and bringing to all the Good News of Jesus Christ.
love tenderly		We will reach out to others, through our individual efforts and through our parish organizations, in loving service, making every effort to support, encourage, affirm, heal and reconcile.
walk humbly with your God"		Together we will worship and pray to God, the source of our strength, to live the values of the Gospel, and to share in the mission of the Church which is to continue the work of Jesus, our brother and our Lord.

In the spirit of the words of our Patron, St. Francis de Sales:

"The same Everlasting Father who cares for you today, will take care of you tomorrow and every day."

we move forward placing our parish and our mission in the hands of our God.

The St. Francis de Sales Mission Statement was adopted by the Parish Pastoral Council on January 10, 1995.
